Now you can support LDAT while you shop everyday for groceries, gas, and gifts!!

 

With our new Shop & Support program you can help us raise funds to support programs and services for those with Learning Disabilities in Toronto and their families every time you to purchase gift cards from over 250 retailers that you shop at everyday. Retailers such as Loblaws, Metro, Sobey’s, Shoppers Drug Mart, Esso, Canadian Tire, Swiss Chalet, The Bay and many more!

It's that simple. You won't need to buy anything different or sell anything to your families or neighbours. Also, these gift cards cost you no more from than if you were to buy them at the store, but when you buy them through our Shop & Support Program, LDAT earns money!!

Here's an example:

You purchase $500 in Loblaws gift cards online at shopandsupport.ca. LDAT receives 5% of the face value or $25. Assuming 200 families participate at $500 per month, LDAT will earn $5,000 per month. Think about the potential if we also include our gasoline and department store purchases at Petro-Canada, Zellers and Blockbuster!

HOW TO REGISTER TO SUPPORT LDATD

  1. Go to www.shopandsupport.ca and click on the ‘Enter Shop & Support’ button. Click ‘Register’ (top right hand corner).
  2. Fill in all the fields in “Step 1. Contact Information”, then click the ‘Continue’ button
  3. Fill in all the fields in “Step 2. Billing Information”, then click the ‘Continue’ button
  4. In “Step 3. Registration Information”, click the drop-down box and select the second choice, “My group has invited me to support them and I have their 10-digit GROUP ID.”
  5. Fill in the ‘Group ID:’ field with the LEARNING DISABILITIES ASSOCIATION OF TORONTO 10 digit GROUP ID number — 0100573057 and then click the ‘Verify Group’ button.
  6. Check the box that says “I have read and understand the terms and conditions of the program.”
  7. Click the ‘Register’ button. You will receive an email requesting that you activate your account. Click on the activation link in the email and your account will be activated.
  8. At any time going forward, 24/7, you can order gift cards to support the LDATD by visiting www.shopandsupport.ca and clicking the ‘Login’ button at the top right.

HOW TO PLACE A LDATD ORDER ONLINE

  1. Go to www.shopandsupport.ca and click on the ‘Login’ button. A new window will open. Click ‘Continue Login’. Enter email address and password.
  2. Click ‘Search Gift Cards’ on the left.
  3. You can choose a category or retailer or simply click the ‘Begin Search’ button. The retailers will be displayed.
  4. Scroll to the retailer you desire and select a denomination.
  5. The ‘Add Gift Card to Cart’ window will appear. Select the quantity and click the ‘Add to Cart’ button. The card(s) will be added to your shopping cart which will now appear on the left.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each additional card and denomination you require.
  7. When you are finished adding gift cards to your shopping cart, click the ‘Check Out’ button on the left in the ‘Shopping Cart’ pane.
  8. The ‘Order Details’ section will open in the main part of the window. If everything looks good, click the ‘Secure Checkout’ button. You can change quantities for any line item before submitting the order.
  9. In the ‘Shipping Information’ window, select your shipping option from the drop-down list and click the ‘Continue’ button. There are several options;
  10. Shipments to LDATD for pickup
  11. Canada Post delivery – these are not traceable and it is like sending cash in the mail as anyone can use the gift cards. LDATD cannot be responsible for receipt of cards if you select this delivery method, and
  12. Delivery to your house – you will be responsible for the $12.95 delivery charge<
  13. In the ‘Payment Information’ window, select your payment method from the drop-down list and click the ‘Continue’ button. Payment method options include debit, on-line banking and major credit cards. DO NOT CHOOSE THE ‘PAYMENT TO GROUP’ OPTION AS LDATD WILL NOT BE ADMINISTERING THIS OPTION.
  14. Please note: there will be a charge for the use of a credit card by Shop and Support which will reduce the percentage of your purchase that will be donated to LDATD. There is no charge for payment by direct debit or on-line banking.
  15. In the ‘Verify Order’ window, validate the information and click the ‘Complete Order’ button.
  16. You will get an ‘Order Confirmation’ email with your order details.
  17. When payment has been confirmed you will get a ‘Payment Confirmation’ email.
  18. When the order has shipped, you will get a ‘Shipping Confirmation’ email.
