Smart Kidz Tutoring

Program Structure

Participants will meet with their instructors online via Zoom at a designated time. More information on navigating your Smart Kidz session will be provided after registration. Each tutoring session will be 1 hour long and will entail:

Individualized learning plan.
Homework support.
Fun, monitored games online.
Homework assignments.
An opportunity to earn Smart Kidz Stars!

Eligibility

Students aged 5-12 years old who are:

Working with an IEP (Individual Education Plan).
Overwhelmed and frustrated with school.
Struggling with poor grades.
Having difficulty with homework in any subject.
Needing help with reading or writing.
Seeking new strategies and approaches to help them complete their work.

Three weeks Sessions (2 days per week- 1 hr class):

About Smart Kidz

Smart Kidz Tutoring is a six-week-long program designed to help students complete their homework and improve their academic skills. We recognize and accommodate different learning styles by meeting the participants at their current level and helping them to improve by teaching new skills and strategies.

Program Goals

Provide qualified tutors with a background in education and training to cater to individuals with LDs.
Guide participants through their academic work with sensitivity to their individual needs.
Provide small group support with a maximum ratio of 1 to 3 students per tutor.
Help children and youth to work at their own pace.
Match students with a tutor who specializes in their area of need.
Encourage students to bring their homework with them.
